Check oil cooler for leaks



Checking procedure
Remove the soundproofing screen.
Clamp the supply and return hoses from the oil cooler hose clamp to O 25 mm.

Loosen the hose clamps using pliers for spring clips (Fig. 2.332).

NOTE
Collect escaping coolant into the sump.

Disconnect water hoses from oil cooler.
Put on the back zaglushku5 connecting pipe 4 oil cooler.
Fasten the cover 2 on the socket to remove air from the surge tank 1.
Attach the water hose 3 on the oil cooler and expansion tank.
Fill the surge tank to the level of ?�Max?�.

Install the cooling system tester with adapter for cooling system expansion tank (Fig. 2.333).
With the help of a hand pump tester create a positive pressure of about 1.6 bar.
Make sure the pressure drop on the pressure gauge. The pressure drop for 10 minutes is unacceptable.
If the pressure is reduced, replace the oil cooler.
Installation is performed in reverse sequence, with the following.
Check the coolant level, top up if necessary.
