Gulf Coolant

NOTE
As the concentrate is allowed to use only G 12 plus - at a rate of TL VW 774 F. A characteristic feature of lilac
G 12 plus (at a rate of TL VW 774 F) is allowed to be mixed with the concentrate previously used G 12
G 12 Plus and concentrates with a mark "in accordance with TL VW 774 F? to resist freezing cooling liquid and the formation of corrosion and scale. Additionally they increase the boiling point of the coolant. Therefore, throughout the year the cooling system have to work with anti-freeze and anti-corrosive concentrate.

Freezing coolant should be at least -25 ? C (in countries with arctic climates - not less than -35 ? C).
It is also prohibited to reduce the proportion of concentrate in the coolant in the warm season, or when operating in countries with warm climates, adding to the cooling system water. The proportion of the concentrate should be at least 40%.
If, due to climatic conditions, the freezing temperature should be reduced, it is possible to increase the share of the concentrate plus G 12, but not more than 60% (the freezing temperature in such a case would be about -40 ? C). Beyond this limit freezing temperature to rise again and, moreover, decrease the heat capacity of the coolant.
When replacing the radiator, heater exchanger, cylinder head or cylinder head gasket reuse drain the coolant is prohibited.

Recommended mixing ratio

NOTE
The number of filled coolant can vary depending on the vehicle.

Again Push water hose fitting on the radiator.
Connect the lower hose to the water pipe.
Install noise insulation.

With the device for filling the cooling system
Screw adapter for cooling system tester on expansion tank.
Fill the coolant using the tool for filling the cooling system.

Without a means for filling the cooling system

The mark on the body of the surge tank
Fig. 2.188. The mark on the body of the surge tank

Slowly pour coolant to the upper mark of the shaded fields on the expansion tank (Fig. 2.188).
Close the expansion tank.

Vehicles without auxiliary heater
Start the engine and keep the engine speed for approx. About 2000 m 3 min -1.
Leave the engine to work up until the radiator fan.

Cars with auxiliary heater
Check the coolant level and top up if necessary. When the warm engine coolant level should be at the top mark, and with cold in the middle of the shaded fields.

ATTENTION
Heater must only be after the coolant circuit is filled, as described below.
