Removing and installing control unit electromechanical parking brake



Control unit for electromechanical parking brake and ESP sensors are installed in one case under the center console.
After replacing the control unit for electromechanical parking brake ESP sensor coding is necessary to make the ABS control unit and basic configuration brake system (electromechanical parking brake).

ATTENTION
Strong shaking (for example, drop impact) may destroy the sensor ESP. Then ESP sensors must not be used.

Withdrawal
Remove the center console.
Remove the three mounting screws.

Plug the control unit

1 Remove the plug of the control unit of the electromechanical parking brake (Fig. 6.18).
Remove control unit for electromechanical parking brake.

Setting
Installation is carried out in reverse order.
When installing the control unit the electromechanical parking brake is necessary to provide true, accurate, straight out landing in the holder.

NOTE
In no case can not install the sensor ESP with force using mounting screws.

Tighten the mounting nuts to 9 N ?� m.
Perform basic configuration of the electromechanical parking brake.
