Removing and installing starter (vehicles with engine 1.6 liter FSI, automatic gearbox)

Withdrawal

Disconnect the battery.

Slide the cap in the direction of the arrow with the traction relay (Fig. 7.27).

Remove the positive cable 1 and disconnect the connector terminals 50 2 (Fig. 7.28).

Remove noise insulation.

Unscrew the fixing nut 1 from the lower starter mounting bolt.

Remove the holder wire 2 (Fig. 7.29).

Remove the lower starter mounting bolt (Fig. 7.30).

Remove the upper starter mounting bolt (Fig. 7.31).

Unscrew the fixing nut wire weight 1 and put a weight wire 1 to the side (Fig. 7.32).

Remove the starter from the engine compartment by lifting it up.

Setting

Installation is carried out, respectively, in the reverse order, with the following should be considered.

Tighten threaded connections to the specified torque.
