Removing and installing starter (vehicles with engine 2.0 liter TDI, gearbox with dual-clutch (DSG))



Withdrawal
Disconnect the battery.
Pulling up, remove the engine cover

Connector, spring clamp and a vacuum hose

Disconnect the connector 1, open the spring clamp 2 with a pair of pliers for spring clips and remove the vacuum hose 3 (Fig. 7.37).

Remove the retaining bolt of the air filter (Fig. 7.38).

Unlock the tabs and remove the cover (Fig. 7.39).

Remove the hose from the air filter housing and remove the hose (Fig. 7.40).
Pull air filter housing upwards from the anchorage and remove it.

Slide the cap in the direction of the arrow with the traction relay (Fig. 7.27).

Remove the positive cable 1 and disconnect the connector terminals 50 2 (Fig. 7.28).

Upper mounting bolt starter

Remove the upper starter mounting bolt (Fig. 7.41).

Lower mounting bolt starter

Remove the lower starter mounting bolt (Fig. 7.42).
Remove the starter from the engine compartment by lifting it up.

Setting
Installation is performed in reverse order, with the following should be considered.
Tighten to the specified torque.
