Removing and installing starter (6-cyl. Engine with injection 3.2 liter engine and a 3.6 liter FSI, automatic transmission)
Withdrawal Disconnect the battery. Remove noise insulation.
Click the button and remove the insulation of the magnetic switch (Fig. 7.24). Pry the protective cap mounting nuts.
Unscrew the fixing nut positive cable from the starter solenoid switch (Fig. 7.25).

Unscrew the fixing nut of the cable terminal 50 from the solenoid starter switch (Fig. 7.26).
ATTENTION Perhaps twisted wires with screw connection. The magnetic switch may be damaged. When loosening and tightening the positive wire and wire terminals 50 lock wrench screw connection with a magnetic switch. |

Remove the lower mounting bolt M12h60 starter on the motor side (Fig. 7.27).
Remove the retaining bolt 2 of the cables and set the cable in the direction (Fig. 7.28). Turn off fixing nuts 1.
Remove from the engine mounting bolt 1 of the exhaust system 2 and remove it (Fig. 7.29).

Remove the mounting bolt tubes cooling system for the engine oil pan (Fig. 7.30).

Remove the upper starter mounting bolt on the side of the gearbox (Fig. 7.31). Remove the starter.
Setting Install in reverse order, with the following should be considered. Tighten to the specified torque
