Engine Starting System

If the starter does not work when you turn it on, then the following reasons:
- Faulty battery;
- Open circuit between the switch (lock) of ignition, traction relay, the battery and the starter;
- Traction relay is faulty;
- Mechanical or electrical defect starter.
To check the battery switch on the lights. If their light dims after a few seconds, the battery is discharged. Recharge or replace the battery. If the lights do not dim, turn the starter and watch the light. If their light dimmed, then the starter is defective. If the lights continue to burn brightly (and there is no mouse pulling the starter relay), damaged the electrical circuit or the traction relay is faulty. If the rotor rotates slowly the starter, and the battery is good and is charged, then the starter is faulty or there is a break in the electric circuit of a starter.
To detect damage to the electric circuit, disconnect the battery and strip all connections and contacts in the food chain starter. Reconnect the battery and a voltmeter, check the voltage on the elements of the electrical circuit to the starter.
If the battery is working and the electrical circuit is intact, remove the power cord from the traction relay and connect the voltmeter. Turn the ignition key to the "start of the engine." In this case, the voltmeter should read battery voltage.
Contacts traction relay can check connecting a voltmeter between contact magnetic switch connected to the starter and "weight". When the key is turned to the "engine start" the voltmeter should show pressure. If there is no traction relay is faulty or burnt his contacts.
If the electrical circuit and the traction relay are serviceable, means, is faulty starter.
