Removing and installing windshield



Withdrawal
Remove the lining of the front pillars.
Remove the inside rearview mirror.
Remove the wiper arms.
Remove the seal and cover scuttle.

Remove the windscreen seal (Fig. 8.27).

Cut off residual adhesive with special tool 09861-31100 (Fig. 8.28).

In the case of re-use glass mating marks on the glass and the hole (Fig. 8.29).
Remove the windshield.

With a cutter or accessories 09861-31200 exactly cut the bead of adhesive to a thickness of about 2 mm from the surface of glass sticking out around the perimeter of the flange opening (Fig. 8.30).

ATTENTION
Do not cut the glue roller to a thickness less than this, and take precautions not to damage the paintwork of the body cutter. When you restore the damaged layer, causing topcoat.

Clean flange windscreen sponge soaked in alcohol, or a mastic and degreasing.

Install spacers in the windscreen (Fig. 8.31).

Install the new windshield in the opening and a soft pencil put labels on the glass and the body in four places, as shown in Figure 8.32.

Install the trim of the windscreen, making sure that there are no gaps (Fig. 8.33).

On the inner surface of the glass around the perimeter edge of the glue rubber insert that serves to keep the adhesive when installing the glass (Fig. 8.34).

Apply a thin layer of adhesive primer for glass on the outer surface of the rubber insert (8.35).

NOTE
Do not touch the glass hands, as it can degrade the quality of gluing and cause leakage after installing windshield.
Do not apply glass adhesive primer for body parts.
Do not expose the adhesive layer caused by water, dust and abrasive particles.

Apply adhesive primer on the lower edge of the glass, as shown in Figure 8.36.

Apply sealant to the edge of the glass around the perimeter (Fig. 8.37).

NOTE
Apply a layer of adhesive is not more than 5 minutes after applying the adhesive primer.

Apply a thin layer of adhesive primer for body parts left on the flange opening glass sealant. After application of the adhesive ground glass set, no later than 5 minutes.
With suction cups 09861-31400 apply to the windshield opening, combining labeling and push the glass to the layer of sealant.
Remove excess glue with a spatula, or wipe it with gauze. Fill all voids with adhesive around the perimeter of the glass.
Ensure integrity of the windscreen, which pour its stream of cold water, taking care to not damage the strong stream of fresh adhesive. Watering so that water flowed along the edges of the glass.
If you find leaks dry place and apply sealant leakage.
Install the previously removed parts.

NOTE
During the first hour after installation, avoid getting water on the windshield.
Do not make travel by car during the first four hours after installing windshield. If necessary travel for the first 8 chdvigaytes low speed. Do not slam the door with force.
Do not expose the body large torsional loads that occur at the exit from the roadway or leaving it, or when driving on rough roads.
