Dismantling, check and assemblage of the camshafts
Dismantling Drain the coolant. Remove the engine cover and intake manifold. Disconnect the PCV hose and disconnect the wiring connector beam engine. Remove the ancillary drive belt. Remove the pulley power steering pump, air conditioning compressor, the crankshaft, the tensioner and idler roller. Remove the timing belt cover. Remove the timing belt automatic tensioner. Remove the belt from the camshaft Stars. Remove the high-voltage wires.
Remove the camshaft sprocket (for timing belt).
Check Check the neck of a camshaft for wear. If the shaft journal is much worn, replace the camshaft.
| Fig. 2.242. Measuring the height of the cams of the camshaft
|
Check the top of the cams of the camshaft for damage. If damaged or cam shaft wear exceeds the permissible value, replace the camshaft (Fig. 2.242). The height of the cams of the camshaft. Nominal value: inlet - 43,95-44,15 mm; exhaust - 43,95-44,15 mm. Limit: inlet and outlet: 43.45 mm. Check the condition of the nape of the cam. If damaged or worn, replace the camshaft. Check the condition of the beds of camshafts in the cylinder head. With significant damage or wear, replace the cylinder head assembly. Measure the axial clearance of the camshaft. Axial clearance: 0.10-0.15 mm.
Front oil seal Camshaft Check the condition of the sealing lip gland. If necessary, replace the oil seal. Check the condition of the neck of a camshaft for the installation of the gland. In the presence of the groove wear replace the camshaft.
Hydraulic tappet

Fill plunger oil. Creating stress in the surface of the "A" push up on the ledge "B" (Fig. 2.243). If there is movement, replace the plunger. Other typical defects lifters are given in Table 2.13 below.
Check timing chain
Check the circuit elements (plugs and plates) for wear. Replace the chain if excessive wear (Fig. 2.244).
Setting Install the hydraulic lifters into place. Align the timing chain sprocket with the camshaft intake and exhaust valves. Apply engine oil to the camshaft bearing neck, then install the camshaft in place.
NOTE Before installing check force press-Stars intake camshaft. At room temperature, the force should be above 1000 kg. |
| Fig. 2.245. The identification marks on the bearing caps
|
Install the camshaft bearing caps. The identification marks on the bearing caps are designed to identify the location of the cover (the side of the intake / exhaust valve) (Fig. 2.245). I: intake camshaft. E: exhaust camshaft. Tighten the camshaft bearing cap to the specified torque in two or three reception. Tightening torque of bolts fastening the camshaft bearing cap: M10 - 14-16 Nm M7 - 10-12 Nm.
With a special tool (Tool for fitting camshaft oil seal: 09221-21000) press-fit the camshaft oil seal. Lubricate the sealing lip oil seal with engine oil (Fig. 2.246). Slide the gland on the camshaft sprocket from the timing belt, then with a hammer on the mandrel install the oil seal until it stops.
Install the camshaft sprocket and tighten the bolts specified torque (Fig. 2.247). Tightening torque bolts camshaft sprocket: 90-110 Nm. Install the valve cover. Tightening torque bolts valve cover: 5-6 Nm.

|
Tighten the bolts in the sequence 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 half torque (Fig. 2.248). Hold on all the bolts to the specified torque. Install high-voltage wires and center cover. Install the timing belt and automatic tensioner. Install the timing belt cover. Install pulley power steering pump, air conditioning compressor, the crankshaft, the tensioner and idler roller. Put the ancillary drive belt. Connect the PCV hose and connector beam engine wiring. Install the intake manifold and the engine cover.
