Removing the engine and gearbox assembly



Withdrawal
Remove the battery.

Duct air filter

Remove the air duct of the air filter (Fig. 2.230).
Disconnect the connectors listed below.
Beam engine wiring (alternator, starter and so on).
Throttle position sensor.
Switch on the power steering pressure, gauge-switch of pressure of oil.
Reverse lamp switch.
Automatic solenoid valve, switch prohibiting launch.
The coolant temperature sensor.
Ignition coils and a switch (power transistor).
Valve control idling.
The gauge of absolute pressure and temperature.
Oxygen sensor.
Drain the coolant
Disconnect water hoses ATF.

NOTE
When disconnecting the hoses are always pre-coated with the timing marks to when connecting hoses were installed in its original position.

ATTENTION
Be careful when disconnecting the hose, do not spill oil or other liquid. Stop disconnected tubes or hoses to prevent foreign material from entering.


Removing the upper radiator hose

Remove the upper and lower radiator hoses from the engine, and then remove the heat sink assembly (Fig. 2.231).
Disconnect a wire of "weight" of the engine.
Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose.
Disconnect both hoses (inlet and outlet) heater on the engine side.
Disconnect (the engine side) of the accelerator pedal and wire rope system to maintain a constant speed.
Disconnect the main fuel hose and fuel return hose EVAP (from the engine).
Disconnect from a transmission cable of a drive of a speedometer.

On models with automatic transmission: Remove the automatic transmission control cable. On models with manual transmission disconnect a cable clutch (Fig. 2.232).

Disconnect both hoses from the power steering pump (Fig. 2.233).
In the engine compartment: Remove the mud shield the steering mechanism and unplug the steering shaft.

NOTE
Mark the relative position of the universal joint and steering shaft

Raise the vehicle and remove the front wheels.
Remove the brake caliper knuckle. Hang the caliper at the front on the wire (not for brake hose).
Remove the lower bolt the rack, remove the bolt.

Drain the oil from the gearbox (Fig. 2.234).

Remove the bolts from the front of the muffler (Fig. 2.235).
On models with manual transmission: Remove the traction shift control.
Secure on Jacks special adapter and adjust it to the subframe.

NOTE
Once again, check that all the wiring connectors and control cables are disconnected from the engine and gearbox

Remove the side engine mounting and support checkpoint.

Remove the bolts from the subframe (Fig. 2.236).

Remove the drive shafts. Lower the engine and gearbox on the jack, remove the front and rear engine mount (Fig. 2.237).
Remove the engine and gearbox.
