Removing and installing engine



Withdrawal
Switch off the ignition and disconnect a wire from the negative first and then from the positive terminal of the battery. Remove the bracket and remove the battery from the vehicle.
Remove the air intake hose connected to the air filter. Remove the bolts and remove the air filter housing.
Disconnect the connectors from the following components and sensors:
- Leads from the starter and alternator;
- The throttle position sensor;
- Switch the power steering and the oil pressure sensor;
- Switch the backlight;
- Solenoid automatic transmission and the selector switch;
- Coolant temperature sensor;
- The ignition coil and the switch;
- Idle control valve (ISC);
- Sensor manifold pressure (MAP) and ambient air temperature sensor (ATS);
- The oxygen concentration sensor.
Remove the radiator drain plug and drain the coolant into a suitable container.
If the car is equipped with an automatic transmission, disconnect the hose from the heat exchanger working fluid.

A WARNING
Before disconnecting the hoses put on the labels to avoid errors when reconnecting.
Do not spill the fluid from the hose. Suitable plugs close the holes that they do not hit foreign particles.

Remove the upper and lower radiator hoses from the engine, and then remove the heat sink assembly (Fig. 2.11).
Remove the bolt and disconnect the wire from the engine connection with "weight".
Disconnect the vacuum hose from the vacuum brake booster.
On the side of the engine, loosen the clamps and disconnect the inlet and outlet heater hoses.
Disconnect the accelerator cable from the throttle assembly.
Special tools from the engine, disconnect the hoses and fuel return.
Disconnect from a transmission cable of a drive of a speedometer.
If the vehicle is equipped with a manual transmission, disconnect the transmission clutch cable.
If the car is equipped with an automatic transmission, disconnect from the gearbox control cable.
Disconnect the power steering pump pressure and return hoses.
Remove the mudguard of a motor compartment and remove the bolt of the universal joint transmission.

A WARNING
Before removal, apply to the universal joint transmission and labels to when installing the hinge it settled into its original position.

Lifts, lift the car and remove the front wheels.

Removing the vehicle speed sensor and a support, mounting them on the back of the car, the separation of the spherical rod end from the knuckle and detach the bottom of the knuckle on the rack

Remove the vehicle speed sensor and a support, fasten them to the body (Fig. 2.12). Remove and disconnect the lower part of the steering knuckle from the lower arm, then separate the spherical rod end from the steering knuckle.
Drain the oil from the gearbox.
Remove the bolts of the front muffler.
On vehicles with manual five-speed transmission disconnect traction gear selection.
Establish a jack under the auxiliary frame.

A WARNING
Check that all cables, hoses and wiring harness, connectors, and so on. D. Have been disconnected from the engine.

Remove the bracket and motor bracket gearbox.

Remove the bolts of the subframe (Fig. 2.13).

The special tool 09624-38100 remove the stud cross (Fig. 2.14).
The special tool, hold the threaded stud from turning, loosen the lock nut.
After removing the driveshaft lower engine and gearbox to the jack, then remove the front and rear roller stops.
Remove the engine and transmission assembly.

Setting
Install the engine and gearbox on the car and check that this has not been damaged or pinched wiring harnesses, pipes and hoses.
Install the front roll stopper bracket.
Tightening torque - 50-65 Nm.
Set the rear roll stopper bracket and tighten to 50-65 Nm.
Install the engine and gearbox on a supporting frame assembly.
With the jack slowly lift the unit and replace the car.
Install the transmission bracket and tighten to 90-110 Nm.
Install the right engine mounting.
Tightening torque - 60-80 Nm.
Further installation is carried out in sequence, return to removal, taking into account the following.
Fill with coolant and check the tightness of the cooling system.
Fill with hydraulic fluid, check for leaks.
Check the operation of the control cable automatic transmission and accelerator cable. If necessary, adjust them.
Check the readings of each meter.
