Checking the belt drive power steering pump



PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check belt tension, having pressed on it effort 98 N (10 kg) in a place located on identical removal from pulleys and measure a belt deflection.

Deflection of a belt:

  • Regular checks: 11,7-15,3 mm
  • New belt: 8,8-11,0 mm

2. The V-belt tension adjustment 6 carries an automatic tensioner.

3. To adjust the tension, loosen the adjusting bolt tensioning mechanism and then re-tighten it (the engine DOHC).
