Ignition coil
Check voltage
PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. | 2. Disconnect the connector from the ignition coil. | 3. Turn the ignition switch to "ON". | | 4. Measure the voltage between the blue and green wires in the connector of the ignition coil. Voltage: 12 V | 5. If there is no voltage, check the fuses, ignition switch and wiring harness. |
|
Check resistance
PERFORMANCE ORDER | | 1. An ohmmeter to check the resistance of the primary winding of the ignition coil. Connect one ohmmeter test lead to the positive (+) terminal and the other probe to each negative (-) terminal. If the resistance is not correct, replace the ignition coil. Remember that the unit has two coils, the resistance of which must be checked. Primary resistance: 0.45-0.55 ohms at 20 ? C | | 2. By an ohmmeter to check the resistance of the secondary winding of the ignition coil. If the resistance is not correct, replace the ignition coil. Secondary resistance: 13-15 ohms at 20 ? C |
|
