Check selector lever



Turn the ignition switch ON (engine off).
Make sure that the lever is, the brake pedal depressed, in each position clicks.
Make sure that the selector lever can be moved.
Make sure that the lever is, the brake pedal depressed, at each position from P to l hear a click.
Make sure that in each position of the selector lever indicator lights.
If not, adjust the transmission range switch.

Make sure that the car is running in each selected range (Fig. 3.79).
