Overview

Front and rear suspensions are specially designed for car Mazda 6 (GG), and have some special features.
Front suspension - double wishbone, lower arm has two floating hinges.
Rear suspension - multi-type E.
Minimize kingpin offset relative to the center wheel front suspension. Front upper arm and lower arm are both equipped with ball joints with low friction coefficient. The track width increased by 50 mm compared to the previous model. This is equivalent to lowering the center of gravity of the car by 20mm. As a result, the stability control when cornering improved.

Features car platform
Fig. 4.1. Features of the platform of the car: 1 - the center of gravity; 2 - is reduced to 20 mm; 3 - height; 4 - track (626); 5 - track width (Mazda 6); 6 - increased by 50 mm

The axis of rotation is set a little obliquely. Front shock absorber is equipped with spring-stroke rebound. For shock absorber uses a separate support. to increase rigidity, the front cross member, and set the amplifier to adjust the camber of the rear wheels. The transverse thrust and lower arm has a special cam and turnbuckle (Fig. 4.1).

Setting the height of the roll center of the car
Fig. 4.2. Setting the height of the roll center of the car: 1 - the height of the front roll center; 2 - the height of the rear roll center; 3 - an axis of rotation; 4 - extension of the line (parallel to the ground) of the height of the front roll center

The geometry of the platform can accommodate yaw axis (invisible vertical axis about which the vehicle responds to the driver's control action) in the center of the vehicle. The height of the front roll center is smaller than the rear roll center. Management of the rectilinear motion is improved by setting the axis of rotation at a slight angle (Fig. 4.2).
