Spackling and painting

Available in many kinds of body fillers, however, it should be noted that for this type of work is best attached to the kit to repair the body panels putty paste hardener. In order to achieve the smoothness and accuracy of the contour surface of the putty, paste should be applied to a flexible plastic or nylon spatula. Strictly follow the manufacturer's instructions putty (violation may lead to incorrect congealed putty), mix a small amount of filler on a clean wooden or cardboard surface (carefully use a hardener).
Trowel, apply a plaster on a pre-prepared surface of the damaged portion of the body panels. To achieve the desired surface contour and the level of each stroke with a spatula putty should pass through the entire repair area. Once filled, the surface of the circuit will be close to the target, stop immediately apply the putty, as it is, freezing, begins to Podlipaev spatula, forming lumps and leaving broken away on the treated surface. Continue to apply the paste layers at intervals of about 20 Mindo until the level of the surface of the putty will not protrude slightly above the surrounding metal panel.
After hardening putty, remove the excess with a file. Then begins the stage of sanding and polishing the surface of the putty. It is best suited for this purpose, waterproof sandpaper. Start with coarse paper number 180 and then successively reducing the graininess, finished ? 600. In order to achieve adequate flatness of the treated surface, the paper pre-wrap around the bar made of thick rubber (wood or foam) or stick to it. During processing, the paper regularly and frequently moisten with water. This technology allows to achieve an absolute smoothness and flatness of the surface being treated at the final stage.
As a result, the treated surface must be surrounded by a ring of pure metal. Rinse the treated surface with clean water, washing away from it all, resulting in grinding dust.
From an aerosol can apply a thin layer of the treated surface light undercoat, so-called developing layer. This will reveal all committed in the course of grinding defects that can be repaired by applying a new layer of putty. Repeat sanding and polishing. Repeat luting, processing and priming the surface to obtain a satisfactory (for the quality of the surface) results. Upon completion, rinse the treated surface with water and dry it.
The surface is now ready for staining. Apply with spray paint in a dry room. If circumstances force to carry out a body painting outdoors, you should seriously consider the choice of suitable weather conditions. If you made a painting of car body panels, cover the surrounding undamaged panel. This precaution will minimize the effect of small differences in the colors of the old and new colors. Such elements like chrome decorative trim strips, door handles, etc., should also cover (and better - just lift). For the protection of non stained surfaces, use a special adhesive tape (masking "tape") and old newspapers stacked in multiple layers.
Before embarking on a color from an aerosol can, shake it thoroughly, then apply the paint on the surface of the trial, practicing the technique staining. Cover prepared for painting surface primer in several stages. Sparing no water, waterproof sandpaper number 600 treat primed surface, achieving its absolute smoothness. Before proceeding to the final coloring, let the primer dry completely.
Apply a coat of paint, again achieving a desired thickness due to its repeated application. Staining start from the center of the repair area, making hand spray with circular movements. Increase their radius, spiraling as long as would be covered by all of the damaged area and a portion of an old paint coating to a width of about five centimeters. After 10-15 minutes (not later, so as not to damage the edge begins to freeze fresh paint) after the last coat of paint peel covering the surrounding body panels newspaper and sticky tape. The paint is completely polymerized for about two weeks, after which, to smooth the transition from the fresh paint applied to previously treat the surface of the recovered fine grinding paste. Finally, apply a layer of the panel protector to the wax.
