Start the engine using a conventional key



If the steering wheel is locked to prevent theft of the vehicle, the key can be removed from the ignition switch only when the ignition switch is set to ?�LOCK?� (locking).
1. The driver and all passengers in the vehicle should fasten your seat belts appropriate.
2. Check that the parking brake is on.
3. Press the brake pedal.
4. Vehicles with manual gearbox: fully depress the clutch pedal and move the shift lever to the neutral position. Hold the clutch pedal fully depressed while the starter.
For vehicles with automatic transmission: move the lever range switch to "P" (parking). If you want to start the engine while driving, move the lever range switch ?�N?� (neutral).

NOTE
For vehicles with automatic transmission: the starter is locked when the switch lever range is not in the "P" (park) or ?�N?� (neutral).

5. Turn the ignition switch to ?�START?� (Starter) and hold the handle in this position before starting the engine (but not longer than 10 seconds).
6. After starting, allow the engine to idle about 10 seconds.

NOTE
When the key is turned in the ignition with difficulty, rock steering wheel from side to side to relieve the load on the locking member.

In the "ACC" (auxiliary power consumers) ignition switch steering wheel is not locked, and the power supply is provided by auxiliary devices.
In the position ?�ON?� (ignition switched on) the ignition switch is when the engine after starting. Before starting the engine check the status of alarms.

NOTE
For vehicles with petrol engine) when you turn the ignition switch to ?�ON?� (ignition switched on) you can hear the fuel pump working noise coming from the area of the location of the fuel tank. This is normal and not a malfunction of the vehicle.
For vehicles equipped with automatic headlight range control: when you turn the ignition switch to ?�ON?� (ignition switched on) you can hear the sound of running an electric drive-leveling, coming from the front of the engine compartment. This is normal and not a malfunction of the vehicle.

In position ?�START?� (starter) the starter motor. The starter continues to run as long as you hold the ignition key in position ?�START?�. When you release the ignition key back to position ?�ON?� (ignition on).
