Display System economical mode of motion
Some models with a manual transmission equipped with economical driving mode display. The dash panel is provided with two pilot lights, referring to which the driver switches to either upshift or slightly closes the throttle, thereby reducing fuel consumption. Signal light is not working on the 5th (highest) transmission and engine braking. On models released in 1984 and later, Tally works on all transmissions, except the back.

Nodes that are part of the system indicating economical driving modes: 1 - the spark plug; 2 - the ignition coil; 3 - damper (valve delay); 4 - vacuum switch; 5 - suction nozzle; 6 - the gauge of inclusion of 5th transfer; 7 - switch economizer overrun; 8 - the carburetor; 9 - battery; 10 - the ignition switch; 11 - control unit; 12 - the index of excessive throttle opening; 13 - the index inclusion upshift; 14 - the switch of a control lamp

Apart from the LEDs, the main components of the system are: the control unit is located under the panel switches or instrument panel; a vacuum switch means coupled to the suction nozzle via a damper (delay valve); sensor incorporating the 5th gear mounted on the gearbox; switch economizer overrun mounted on the carburettor (Fig. 8.7). The control unit and the switch economizer overrun combined with obednitelem fuel mixture while driving in neutral. The control unit receives signals from sensors and switches, the voltage from the power supply and signals from the ignition coil. The signal from the ignition coil provides tracking control unit of the engine speed.
Technical condition The warning lamp turn on overdrive Start up the engine and set in operation at idle. Slowly increase the speed of the crankshaft of the engine and check that the warning lamp switching on when the upshift speed 2800 min -1 and is included in the further increase in speed.

Unplug the connector from the sensor incorporating the 5th gear (located next to the battery), then recheck (Fig. 8.8). The warning lamp shall not light. Connect. The indicator lamp excessive throttle opening For this test required the vacuum pump and vacuum gauge.

Disconnect the switch from the vacuum hose and instead connect the vacuum pump and vacuum gauge (Fig. 8.9). Turn on the ignition. To monitor a control lamp while increasing the vacuum in the switch will require an assistant. The warning lamp should light up in low-pressure from 0 to 120 mm Hg. Art. and go out with increasing dilution.

On models of release until 1984, disconnect the connector from the gauge of inclusion of 5th transfer and recheck (Fig. 8.10). The warning lamp shall not light. Connect the connector and vacuum hose to the gauge of inclusion of 5th transfer.
Replacement units Warning lights and signs Remove the glass and replace the instrument cluster warning lamp. Vacuum switch Remove the vacuum hose and disconnect the connector from the switch. Remove the switch from the bracket on the car body. Install the new switch, connect the hose and connector. The gauge of inclusion of 5th transfer In the course of the wire, locate the gauge of inclusion of 5th transfer and disconnect the connector from the sensor. Remove the sensor from the gearbox. Keep in mind that in this case may spill oil. Install the new sensor, connect, and then check the oil level in the gearbox. Control block Access to the control unit after removing the lower trim strip dashboard panel switches or instrument cluster.
