Radiator Fan
Refitting For easy access, remove the ignition distributor and the suction nozzle of the air filter. Remove the pin from the motor thermal switch. Drain the cooling system to a level corresponding to the lower edge of the upper radiator hose. To do this, remove the drain plug at the bottom of the radiator. Loosen the clamp and remove the upper radiator hose. Remove the bolts and remove the fan motor assembly with the guide casing. Installation is spent to sequences, return to removal, taking into account the following. Fill antifreeze in the cooling system, connect a wire to the negative terminal of the battery and check if the fan when the engine is warming up.

Fan cooling system consists of an electric motor and an impeller mounted on the guide casing, which screws bolted to the radiator; The relay of inclusion of the fan mounted on the left inner fender, and a thermal cut, screwed into the thermostat housing (Fig. 5.4). When the temperature rises to the threshold value (97 ? C) and contact thermal switch opens via an intermediate relay includes fan motor. When the temperature decreases to 90 ? C temperature switch contacts are closed and the motor is switched off. The relay contacts are normally closed, ie, to turn off the motor winding via intermediate relays current must flow.
