Check and repair cooling fan

Driving the radiator fan
Fig. 5.4. Driving the radiator fan: A - motor; B - pin; C - intermediate relay; D - thermal switch; E - the ignition switch

Fan cooling system consists of an electric motor and an impeller mounted on the guide casing, which screws bolted to the radiator; The relay of inclusion of the fan mounted on the left inner fender, and a thermal cut, screwed into the thermostat housing (Fig. 5.4).
When the temperature rises to the threshold value (97 ? C) and contact thermal switch opens via an intermediate relay includes fan motor. When the temperature decreases to 90 ? C temperature switch contacts are closed and the motor is switched off. The relay contacts are normally closed, ie, to turn off the motor winding via intermediate relays current must flow.
