Radiator

Removal, maintenance and repair
Radiator fluid serves to cool the air stream passing through the radiator core. Radiator core consists of aluminum tubes and aluminum cooling fins. To improve the efficiency of cooling the liquid plate stamped with a notch providing a turbulent air flow through the radiator.

A WARNING
Replace radiator spend the engine is cold. In addition, during any work near the fan to prevent its arbitrary inclusion is necessary to disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

Check out the warnings given in Sec. 2.
Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery (if it is not already running).
If the radiator is removed to eliminate the leakage of coolant, keep in mind that small leaks can be eliminated without removing the radiator from the vehicle by a sealant, such as the type of Holts Radweld.
Drain the radiator coolant.
For easy access, remove the suction inlet of the air filter, remove the high-voltage wire from the ignition coil and move it to the side.
Disconnect the connectors from the thermal switch and radiator fan motor.

Radiator

Disconnect the radiator hoses and coolant hose from the surge tank (Fig. 5.3).
Unscrew the radiator hose clamps and bolts, then lift up the heat sink. On models with automatic transmission cooler should be raised to provide access to the pipelines of the cooling liquid, unplug it and close the covers. Remove the radiator from the engine compartment.
Carefully inspect it visually check for leaks and damage. If necessary, it is recommended to hand over a radiator repair specialist workshop.
Brush with fins remains of insects and leaves, check and if necessary replace any worn hoses and clamps.
The radiator should be flushed, as described in Sec. 2.
Replace the radiator cap new with exactly the same data. If the plug is replaced recently, then return it to check service car service.
When installing a new radiator using the connections from the old unit.
Installation is spent to sequences, return to removal, taking into account the following.
Make sure the correct landing at fixing the radiator.
After installation, fill the radiator to the cooling system antifreeze appropriate concentration, and then start up the engine and check for leaks.
On models with automatic transmission fluid level check and if necessary restore it.
