Sensor fuel level gauge



Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Remove the fuel pump and fuel level gauge.
3. Connect an ohmmeter to terminals and measure the resistance. Measure the resistance of the sensor when the lever gauge dropped all the way down (tank empty) - 105 ohms and when the lever is fully raised (tank full) - 3-6 ohms. Moving the lever resistance should vary smoothly.
4. If necessary, replace the sensor.

Replacement

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Remove the fuel pump and fuel level gauge.
3. Disconnect the sensor pins.
4. Remove the screws and detach the sensor unit from the bracket of the fuel pump.
5. Installation is spent upside-down removals.
