Steering and active safety

The basic principles of suspension and amortization unchanged: coil springs front and rear gas shock absorbers and torsion anti-roll bars front and rear suspensions, which are not only on the model E200. On E-Class vehicles, as before, to use springs with a large compression stroke, but thanks to the new setting they work more strictly than the previous range. Therefore, reduced body movements when cornering and on rough roads, steering across the entire region transverse acceleration remains in the narrow, controlled framework. This high standard of dynamics and active safety, however, is not at the expense of comfort. On the contrary, thanks to the first employed a Mercedes E-class gas cylinder with double piston, cushioning and shock absorption are ideally combined. Shock absorbers are degressive (decreasing) characterization of the work and provide an exact match the damping characteristics.
