Unscrewing rusted fasteners

Before you throw a wrench on rusted nut or bolt, remove visible dirt from the free parts of the bolt thread. Brush the loose threads of the metal brush and treat rust neutralizer. If you use a rust converter rapid action, you can immediately begin to turn away nuts. If you use an ordinary converter, you should wait a while before you begin to loosen rusted fasteners.

PRACTICAL ADVICE
Self-locking nuts
Self-locking nuts are sitting firmly on the thread and do not turn away, even due to vibration. For this they have inserts of artificial material or narrow thread. Basically self-locking nuts are used once, otherwise the effect of their actions is lost, so always replace self-locking nuts with new shot.
