Checking the oil level in rear axle housing and the replacement of oil



To check the oil level is the oil-filling hole in the lid of the gearbox. Before loosening the plug, thoroughly clean the area around it. To loosen the plug is required Allen key "14 mm". The oil level is correct when it comes to the bottom edge of the oil filler opening. If necessary, add oil grade SAE 90 or hypoid oil 85W90. Warp stopper must point 80-100 Nm.
When changing the oil, proceed as follows:
- Before changing to make the short trip to the oil warmed up;

- To establish the car on supports and unscrew the hexagon "14 mm" oil drain plug 2 (Fig. 240). Surrounding surface to loosen the plug thoroughly cleaned. The oil may be hot, so be careful;
- Clean the lid and remove the gearbox oil filler plug 1;
- Rinse the drain plug and tighten again point 80-100 Nm;
- Pour the oil in the rear axle. Depending on the type of bridge required from 1.5 to 1.8 liter of oil. However, it is important that the level has reached the lower edge of the filling opening. To fill the oil is best to use a syringe;
- Thoroughly rinse the oil filler plug and screw torque of 80-100 Nm.
