- Check the condition of the springs and the clutch disc hub slots. Oiled lining disc can not be cleaned, and in this case the drive should be replaced;
- Check the wear pads with calipers. When the distance between the upper surface of the lining and the head of rivets 30 mm disc must be replaced. Replacement is also required at the early achievement of the specified degree of wear;

Check the slave drive on the beating
Fig. 176. Checking the slave drive on the beating

- To check the slave drive to secure it to the beat of a suitable rod or shaft coupling in the lathe. The measuring device on a suitable stand to position next to the disk so that the probe control device rests on the edge of the disc - to the outer edge (Fig. 176). Slowly turn the drive and look after instrument readings. If the runout exceeds 0.5 mm, the disc can try to gently straighten out the pliers or must be replaced;
- Check the ease of movement of the hub of the slave drive shaft splines. To put this disc on the shaft and holding the edge of the thumb and forefinger, rotating, moving it laterally. If you play more than 0,4 mm, splines worn. As a rule, the reason drive plate;
- If there are doubts about the degree of wear on the slave drive should measure their caliper. The thickness of each pad must be at least 2.6-3.0 mm;

Check the wear of petals of the diaphragm spring
Fig. 177. Checking the wear of petals of the diaphragm spring

- Check for wear onto the diaphragm spring (Fig. 177). At their ends wear more than 0.3 mm, it is necessary to replace the clutch assembly. All petals of spring must be on the same level, if necessary, they can bend with pliers;

Checking the deformation of the working surface of the pressure plate
Fig. 178. Checking the deformation of the working surface of the pressure plate

- Attach a line to the working surface of the pressure plate, as shown in Fig. 178, and the measuring probe to measure the internal clearance. If it exceeds 0.3 mm, replace the clutch assembly.
