Installation and removal of the rear caliper

Removing and installing rear brake caliper
Fig. 284. Removing and installing rear brake caliper 1 - bolt wire brake wear sensor, 10 N ? m; 2 - Wear shoes; 3 - the brake hose of 12-16 Nm; 4 - brake cylinder; 5 - caliper mounting bolts, 105-115 Nm

Work on the removal of a back support should be carried out as follows (Fig. 284):
- Unscrew the cork brake fluid reservoir;
- Repeatedly press the brake pedal to remove the system vacuum. Place the vehicle back on the support (under the rear axle) and unscrew the wheel;
- Put the hose on the bleeder valve and the other end into a prepared container;
Remove the bolt and the union to press the brake pedal until the liquid will not work;
- Loosen hex nut brake hose from the caliper so that it can easily turn away. You can also disconnect the hose from the brake pipe. To do this, loosen the union nut of the pipeline, remove the hose clamp and remove the hose. Hose connection to the cylinder should also be reduced. The open ends of the hoses to protect against dirt;
- Remove the bolt 1 (see. Fig. 284) mounting the sensor plug 2 wear pads and remove the wire;

Brake caliper bolts (105-115 Nm)
Fig. 285 brake caliper mounting bolts (105-115 Nm)

- Unscrew the two screws securing the caliper 5. These bolts are shown in Fig. 285;
- Turning, turn away from the caliper brake hose connection.
Installation must be carried out in reverse order with the following:
- When privorachivanii calipers use new self-locking bolts. They are made specifically for the support, ie, it is necessary to order them. Bolts tighten the moment 105-115 Nm;
- Screw on the caliper brake hose almost all the way. Final tightening is carried out during a caliper;
- Tighten the brake hose torque 12-16 Nm. Thus it is necessary to make sure that the hose is not twisted. Otherwise, again remove the caliper and tighten the hose on it denser. Check that the pipes and hoses are not rubbing against other parts of the rear suspension;
- Pump the brake.
