Replacing the wiper arms

Approximately 6 months of operation rubber elements brushes wear down, and during the night trip to the rain, they can no longer provide sufficient security in terms of visibility. It should decide whether the whole brush or replaced only rubber member. To do this, you must first remove the brush with a leash, which requires the following:
- Switch off the ignition;

Mount wiper arms
Fig. 330. Mount wiper arms: 1 - a cover; 2 - hex nut; 3 - a washer; 4 - a hose; 5 - leash

- The lid of 1 (Fig. 330) supports a leash;
- To turn away a nut of 2 fastenings of a leash;
- Remove the lead from the spindle 5. If it is not removed, screw the nut back, but not to the end and shook his leash to release him. Ensure that the lead does not hit the windshield. Installation is performed in reverse order. To put a leash on the spindle when the latter is in the rest position. After installation, make sure the wiper moves in the prescribed trajectory.
If snow wiper can not return to its original position, the wiper motor is energized. Its winding can burn if for a certain period of time the lead will remain in that position. In this case, it is necessary as soon as possible to stop and take the lead from the glass so that he could return to the starting position.
When the ignition is switched off leash stops in the middle, this is not a malfunction. When the ignition wiper returns to its original position.
