The filter element air filter

The filter element of the air filter should be changed at least once every two years. When dusty terrain, this interval is reduced. Replacing the filter element is easily done after removing the cover of the air filter. For more information on this subject can be found in Sec. "The injection system of diesel fuel."
Cleaning of the filter is carried out by tapping it with a hard object and subsequent blowing with compressed air in order to remove fine dust. This stream of air should be directed to the side, along the plates. In no case do not point it directly at the plate - in this case the dust rush into the engine. It is not necessary to use a liquid to clean the filter. The filter housing is wiped with a cloth.
