Details of installation of the gear lever Manual transmission 716.644 (ML 270 CDI)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Details of installation of 716,644 Manual transmission shift lever shown in the illustration, which includes all the links in the text.
  2. Turn neutral.
  3. Remove the handle and gear lever cover.
  4. Remove the protective cover (3) - try not to bend over the locking tabs.
  5. Remove the bolt (15).
  6. Release the clips and remove the boot (4) - try not to bend over the locking tabs.
  7. Give nuts (16) and remove the bolt-plate (17).
  8. Remove the bolts (14), remove the transfer case (9) rear propeller shaft (13), move it to one side and tie up to the frame of the car, avoiding placing undue stress on the universal joint and the assembly of the central bearing (see chap. Suspension and steering ).
  9. Disconnect the wiring (10) from the actuator motor.
  10. Support the transmission (7) and take the nuts (11).
  11. Slightly priopustite with gear assembly, - try not to damage the lines of communication.
  12. Unlock and remove the retaining pin (6) and disconnect from the transmission (7) lever assembly (1).
  13. Pull down and remove the assembly (1).
  14. Installation is in the reverse order - make sure that when connected to the lever (5) Rod (8) to guide the lever is on the side of inclusion of a reverse gear lock in the arm assembly (1) (arrow).
  15. Finally, check if the operation of the switching mechanism.
