Introduction

This Chapter is made up in order to help the amateur mechanic to maintain your car is able to maximize the effectiveness of operating parameters, efficiency, safety and reliability. Later in the chapter, you will find the complete schedule of procedures of routine maintenance of the car, as well as sections devoted to the description of its individual service systems. The section includes descriptions of visual checks, adjustments, replacement of components, and other useful tips. Place the individual components to help determine the kinds of illustrations to the engine compartment and underside of the vehicle (see. Section routine maintenance schedule). Serving the car according to kilometrazhno-time schedule and following these detailed comments, you will get a clear maintenance program, capable of providing long and reliable service of your vehicle. Remember that the plan is comprehensive, and the implementation of some of its points and neglect others will not give the expected result.

Current Care

During the maintenance of the car you will soon discover that it is possible - and necessary - to combine many of the procedures due to the similarity of action to implement them. For example, if the car is raised above the ground for chassis lubrication should be at the same time while you are under the car, inspect the exhaust system, suspension, steering system and the fuel system. If the wheels are removed for other works, it makes sense to check the brakes. Finally, suppose that you had to borrow or rent a torque wrench. Even if you only need it in order to tighten the spark plug, you can check at the same time the efforts of so many critical tightening nuts and bolts, how much is enough time.

The first step in the program is the maintenance of the vehicle self-study. Carefully read all the materials of the section relating to the forthcoming procedures, then prepare all the necessary materials, equipment and tools. If you are afraid to face the challenges in the implementation of some specific activities, consult an expert or a person who is already conducting this work.

SRT addition, for each service using the device for polling the fault memory read data from memory of malfunctions of electronic devices of engine control, ABS, air bags and anti-theft system. For this purpose, it is recommended at regular intervals to contact the service station. It should be borne in mind that some faults, such as the failed engine control sensors, do not lead to a marked reduction in performance of the vehicle. Control devices have a mode of operation of the emergency or work on memorized averaged values of the parameters that can not be detected by the driver. Poll fault memory via the diagnostic connector.

Service is conducted in accordance with a defined period and mileage of the vehicle.
