Service elements throttle actuator

Lubrication, checking of mobility and condition of the joints of the lever throttle actuator

Try to avoid getting lubricant on the plastic hinges drive!

The design of the throttle lever

Location of the accelerator pedal position sensor (B37)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. The design of the throttle lever shown in the illustration above, if necessary, remove the air cleaner (see. Section Removal and installation of components of an inlet air path).
  2. Make articulations lubrication of the drive mechanism, Ball assemblage should be divided, fill with grease, and then to articulate again - do not forget about the spherical bearing on the accelerator pedal position sensor (B37).
  3. Carefully lubricate all bearing surfaces of rods and levers, and exposed hinges and cables.
  4. Slowly squeeze until it stops, then release the gas pedal - the detection of signs of play or seizure replace the accelerator cable (see. Below).

Check and adjust the throttle

Adjusting the throttle (all models)

1 - Bowden cable
2 - The lever position sensor
3 - Adjustment screw
4 - sensor switch activate the kickdown
5 - The gas pedal

A - The damper is completely closed
and - emphasis flap
B - The damper is completely closed
b - Emphasis flap

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check progress freedom and the general condition of the lever (2), the position sensor (TPS) and drive cable (1).
  2. Run the engine at idle speed, - the lever (2) TPS should pull over to the fence (a) a closed throttle position (accelerator pedal (5) is released). If necessary tweak lever position by turning the adjusting screw (3), taking place entirely by backlash.
  3. Connect the reader STAR DIAGNOSIS and clean the memory module on-board self-diagnostic system (see chap. Systems of an electric motor).
  4. Depress the pedal (5) to the stop in the gauge-switch activate the kickdown (4) (do not activate mode), and by means of the adjusting screw (3) until the lever pressed against the fence TPS (b).
  5. Again, clean the memory module on-board self-diagnostic system (see chap. Systems of an electric motor).
  6. Visually make progress in the fullness of the throttle valve, lubricate the exposed drive cable corrosion grease (001 989 37 51 10).

Removing and installing the throttle cable

Details of installation of the throttle cable (all models)

10 - Fixed Arm
30 - Drive cable
30/4 - Plastic clips

30/6 - rubber grommet
33 - Lever pedal assembly
35 - Return spring

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect the drive cable (30) from the head of the spherical bearing.
  2. Press together the plastic clips (30/4) and pull out the fixed arm (10), complete with drive cable (30).
  3. Remove the cover to the left under the dashboard.
  4. Push the cable from the engine compartment into the passenger compartment, - try to prevent the loss of the rubber grommet (30/6).
  5. Rope Pull assembly (30) from the engine compartment.
  6. Installation is in the reverse order.
  7. Finally, adjust the actuator (See above.) And lubricate the exposed areas of the rope assembly corrosion grease (001 989 37 51 10).

Removal and installation of the accelerator pedal position sensor

Details of installation of the accelerator pedal stroke sensor (all models)

25/3 - Lock washer
25/4 - transmitting lever with built-in remote coupling
25/5 - Fixed Arm

31/9 - Return spring
R25 / 2 - sensor setpoint

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect the return spring (31/9).
  2. Raschekante retainer (25/3).
  3. Pull the lever transmission with built-in remote socket (25/4) - Do not disconnect the accelerator cable
  4. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  5. Otboltite accelerator pedal position sensor (R25 / 2) from the fixed lever (25/5).
  6. Installation is in the reverse order - track correctness of landing lock washer. Check the operation of the drive, if necessary, make the appropriate adjustment (see. Above).

Removal and installation of the gas pedal and its arm

Pedal

Details of installation of the gas pedal (all models)

1 - The gas pedal
2 - pedal rod
3 - Sampling

4 - Cam
24/3 - Lock

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the clip (24/3).
  2. Disconnect the lower end of the gas pedal (1).
  3. Expand the pedal (1) to the left on the rod (2) so that the sample (3) is pushed onto the cam (4) of the stem (2).
  4. Remove the pedal filing her back and separated from the stem.
  5. Installation is in the reverse order.

Pedal arm

Details of installation of the accelerator lever (all models)

1 - Cover
2 - The gas pedal
3 - Spring
4 - Bolts

5, 9 - Retaining rings
6 - Swing support
7 - pedal arm
8 - The locking pin

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the cover (1) to the left under the dashboard.
  2. Remove the pedal assembly (2) (See above.).
  3. Remove the front section of the carpet in the driver's footswitch well.
  4. Remove the spring (3).
  5. Remove the bolts (4) securing the swivel bearing (6) to the engine compartment bulkhead.
  6. Remove the retaining ring (5).
  7. Remove the swivel bearing (6) in assembly with the pedal lever (7).
  8. Remove the locking pin (8) and a separate support (6) from the lever (7).
  9. Installation is in the reverse order - make sure that the pin (8) was in the receptacle in the engine compartment bulkhead.
