Adjusting the pump

Install pump on labels and off the device for starting a cold engine with the help of a plate thickness of 15 mm (only on engine CD20)
Fig. 3.35. Install pump on labels and off the device for starting a cold engine with the help of a plate thickness of 15 mm (only on engine CD20)

Disconnect "minus" plug of the storage battery. Disconnect all electrical connectors, disconnect the vacuum drives and cables, suitable to the pump. Remove the fuel high pressure, then disconnect the supply and drain the fuel from the fuel pump. On engines of models CD20 disconnect device for cold start by setting the plate thickness of 15 mm between the lever and triggering device (Fig. 3.35). Turn the crankshaft and set cutout (no color marking) of the crankshaft pulley against marks on the cylinder block (a piston in the 1st cylinder is at TDC of the compression stroke).

Installation of pump indicator c using an adapter (prisposoblenieKV 11229350)
Fig. 3.36. Installation of pump indicator c using an adapter (tool
KV 11229350)

Set the display device KV 11229350 to stand by removing the drain plug located at the center of the distributor injection pump (Fig. 3.36). Loosen the bolts pump. Adjust the indicator so that its arrow is located between the markings 1 and 2 mm. Rotate the crankshaft to 20-25 ? (motor CD20) or 100 ? (for the engine CD20E) counterclockwise. In this position, the crankshaft set the dial gauge to "0". Slowly turn the crankshaft clockwise until the yellow mark on the crankshaft pulley against the mark corresponding to the initial corner of an advancing of injection of fuel. To increase the timing of fuel injection, slowly turn the pump housing in the direction of "engine" to reduce - "the engine" until the meter reads the predetermined stroke of the plunger pump. Tighten in this position bolts pump and check the adjustment of timing of fuel injection.
