Removing and installing high-pressure pump

Disconnect "minus" plug of the storage battery. At the pump mounting bracket make a note position pump. Establish the piston of 1st cylinder TDC compression stroke by turning the crankshaft so that the slot of the crankshaft pulley (without the color coding) was opposite the mark on the cylinder block. Clamp the hose clamp device for starting a cold engine (the engine CD20). Remove the pump drive belt (See below.).

Bolts pump

Disconnect all electrical connectors, disconnect the vacuum actuators and control cables, appropriate to the pump. Remove the fuel high pressure, then disconnect the supply and drain the fuel from the fuel pump. Unscrew and remove the nut on the injection pump drive pulley; remove with a suitable toothed pulley puller, remove the key. Remove the bolts (Fig. 3.33) and remove the pump.

Installation of a gear pump pulley 1 - an adjusting label; 2 - keyways
Fig. 3.34. Installation of a gear pump pulley 1 - an adjusting label; 2 - keyways: "A" for motor CD20 and "B" for the engine CD20E

Installation of pump follow the marks made during removal. Fit the pump shaft pulley by setting the key in the groove (Fig. 3.34). Tighten the nut of the pulley. Install the drive belt. Follow the remaining operations in the reverse order and check the coolant level.
