Check the axial clearance of the crankshaft

Establish persistent half rings in the middle socket support so that the lubrication grooves are facing the crankshaft, install the cylinder block bearing shells. Lubricate and insert bearings crankshaft. Replace the bearing caps with liners. Arrows on covers should be directed towards the timing. Tighten the set moment the new cap bolts. Set the indicator so that its leg rested against the end of the crankshaft. Shifting using the lever of the crankshaft in the axial direction, determine its movement in the indicator. If the movement does not correspond to the recommended value, replace persistent half rings.
