Installation of the power unit

Preparing to install. Before installing the gearbox with the engine, apply a layer of grease on the clutch shaft splines transmission. Be sure to set the pins on the motor or gear box and in that the bearing supporting the gearbox output shaft is located in the groove of the flywheel. Align with a special mandrel position of the clutch disc. Carefully slide the gearbox on the engine before entering dowel pins to their nests. Install the bolts that connect the gearbox housing to the engine; Make sure the correct position of the brackets and tighten the set moment. Install the starter and tighten the bolts.

For installation of the power unit, place it under the car and slings for lifting lugs. Together with the assistant head of powertrain lifting device to the engine compartment. Check whether the installation does not interfere auxiliary units, piping and electrical wiring.

Installation of the power unit is carried out in sequence, return to removal, taking into account the following guidelines.

Make sure that the electrical wires are properly routed and secured straps and electrical connectors are correctly and securely connected.

Before installing the front wheel drive shafts replace the cuff on the flanges of the differential side gears.

Check the connection of the pipes of the cooling system and reliable fastening clamps.

Adjust the cable of a drive throttle.

Replace all the new self-locking nuts.

Tighten the screw connections specified torque.

Replace the retaining rings on the shank of the wheel drive shafts.

Set the distance of 55 mm between the two rubber mounts bolted the front bracket of the power unit before you proceed to tightening the mount fixing.

Connect and adjust the clutch cable.

Install and adjust the auxiliary belts.

Fill the correct grade of oil to the engine and gearbox.

Fill the cooling system antifreeze and remove it from the air.

Start up the engine and check for leaks of liquids.

After assembly, check and if necessary, adjust the front axle.
