| - Before checking the traction relay, disconnect the negative cable from the battery and the wire from the plug ?M? starter.
| - Make sure available conductivity between the terminal ?S? of the traction relay and ground, and between terminal ?S? and terminal ?M?. Otherwise, replace the traction relay.
- Check the condition of gear teeth freewheel, as well as teeth reduction gear (starter Mitsubishi). Gear overrunning clutch should rotate smoothly in one direction and blocked when attempting to its rotation in the opposite direction. If necessary, replace overrunning clutch assembly.
- Check the wear of the brushes, their smooth progress in the holder, measure the length of brushes and compare it with the requirements of the Specifications. If necessary, replace the brush.
| - Make sure that between the positive side of the brush holder and a base (negative side), no conductivity.
| - Check anchor: between two segments of the collector should be conductivity, and between each segment and the shaft of the conductivity should not be.
- Measure the diameter of the collector and compare it with the requirements of the Specifications.
| - Check the depth of the furrows reservoir - it should not be less than 0.2 mm. If necessary pierce grooves to 0.5 ÷ 0.8 mm.
| - With advanced traction relay click on the freewheel clutch to pick up the slack and measure the gap between the front edge of the freewheel and its restrictive ring. Compare the result with the requirements of the Specifications, and, if necessary, adjust the gap by picking up the adjustment plate.
