Safety locks - the general information

1 - fit the fuse
2 - Blown

Protection of electrical circuits of the car is achieved by using a combination of fuses, circuit breakers and fuse links. Blown fuses are easily distinguished from the serviceable inspection by its transparent plastic housing. Inspect the fuse to identify his burnout. If the fuse looks good outwardly, but suspected his condition remains, make a check continuity between terminals knife protruding from his body.

When replacing a fuse make sure to replace the old correspondence by type. Designed for different amperage fuse may outwardly look identical, so special attention should be paid to labeling. Replacing a blown fuse on designed for smaller - and especially large - current strength is undesirable. Each electric circuit needs to varying degrees of protection. Make sure that the markings on the body of the fuse corresponds to a current, on which the respective circuit.

If a replacement fuse blows immediately, not reasonable to continue his replacement. First should identify and eliminate the cause of his knock. In most cases, is that of a short-circuit wiring circuit caused by breakage or damage to the wire insulation.
