Removing and installing engine

Front Mount Engine


Hydraulic prop engine mount (cars of release since January 1985)

The engine is removed together with the gearbox.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To disconnect a wire from "the minus" plug of the storage battery.
2. Drain the coolant.
3. Remove the air filter with hoses.
4. Remove the bolt 1 (see. Fig. View of the transmission from the engine compartment) securing the gearbox to the support and freed from the spring clips, pull forward and remove the mudguard radiator.
5. Remove the radiator grille.
6. Disconnect the electrical connection from the headlights pads.
7. Loosen the bolts of the radiator bracket.
8. Pull the bonnet lock and disconnected from the drive to mount bulkhead panel.
9. Unscrew the bolts and remove the panel bulkhead panel with lights.
10. Disconnect the coolant hoses from the engine cylinder head, water pump and expansion tank.
11. Disconnect the electrical wires from the fan and temperature switch.
12. Remove the radiator with the fan cowl and fan.
13. Disconnect the wiring from the alternator, oil pressure switch, starter switch heating inlet tube, ignition coil, distributor, transmission, coolant temperature sensor, valve cold start, more air valves, glow plugs, valve-shut of the fuel pump, etc. . d.
14. Disconnect the fuel lines from the fuel pump.
15. Disconnect from a transmission wire on "weight".
16. Remove the starter.
17. Disconnect the pipe cooling system on the cylinder head.
18. Disconnect clutch.
19. Remove the bolt securing the gearbox to the support.
20. Disconnect the vacuum pipe from the brake servo and the vacuum tank 1 (see. Fig. Carburetor and vacuum tank).
21. Remove the vacuum tank.
22. To disconnect draft accelerator.
23. vehicles with fuel injection valve to turn a cold start 3 (see. Fig. Drive the car with the accelerator system of injection of fuel) do not disconnect the fuel line; Disconnect vacuum hose 2; unscrew the knob warming, without disconnecting the fuel line; remove the duct 5; remove the nozzle, without disconnecting the fuel 4.
24. Loosen the screws 2 (see. Fig. Back support suspension and engine transmission mount) mounting the rear support 3 engine mount.
25. To turn away bolts of fastening of support of a transmission.
26. Pull the front wheel drive shafts from gearbox and tie them to the body wire.
27. Disconnect the exhaust manifold from the exhaust front pipe.
28. To disconnect from the transmission gear selector rod.
29. On vehicles with automatic transmission disconnect a cable of the selector lever (selection lever when it should be in the "P", traction accelerator release from mounting on the gearbox, disconnect traction 1.
30. Disconnect the gearbox speedometer drive.
31. Attach engine lifting crane or hoist and gently lift upwards to relieve the front engine mounts.
32. Unfasten the front engine mounts.
33. Carefully remove the engine up.
34. Installation is performed in reverse order. When installing the power unit first tighten the back support of the engine torque 25 Nm (2.5 kgf ?� m), then tighten the support of a transmission torque of 60 Nm (6.0 kgf ?� m), then the front support of the engine torque of 50 Nm m (5.0 kgf ?� m). Hydro tightening torque of 30 Nm (3.0 kgf-m).
