Removal of the steering mechanism



The order of removal of the steering mechanism:
- Disconnect the battery and remove it;
- Loosen the bolts of the front wheels;
- To establish an emphasis under back wheels;
- Install the front part of the car on support and remove the front wheels;
- Disconnect hydraulic hoses from the steering mechanism and drain the hydraulic fluid. Take the ends of the hose to the side and plug them;

- Disconnect the tie rod from the steering knuckle (Fig. 7.3) with the help of a stripper;

- Disconnect intermediate shaft from the steering mechanism (Fig. 7.4);

NOTE
Instead, jack, you can use the lift, eyelets for securing the engine.

- Set the jack under the frame and remove it. Lower the jack, remove the mounting clamps and remove the steering towards the rear. The bolts of the subframe, do not remove;
To replace the steering gear to the next, remove tie rods.
