Features removal and installation

Disconnecting the power cord from the glow of the fourth cylinder
Fig. 3.1. Disconnecting the power cord from the glow of the fourth cylinder

Before removing the valve cover on the diesel engine, disconnect the fuel hoses from the injectors and high-pressure pump. If you provided a complete set, remove the turbocharger to the exhaust manifold, valve EGR, disconnect the tube from the reservoir. You also need to disconnect the power cord from the glow of the fourth cylinder (Fig. 3.1).
The installation procedure of the cylinder head on diesel engines is similar to a gasoline engine. If new pistons not installed, the new cylinder head gasket must be the same type as the old one.
In the case of engine overhaul with replacement pistons, measure the protrusion of the piston and get a new gasket in accordance with the measurement results (see. Table. 3.5). Mandatory installation of new head bolts. Older can be used as guide pins. For this cut off a head from two old cylinder head bolts and at the end of each of the bolts PROPYLENE slot (Fig. 3.2).
