Distributor

Removing the ignition distributor in the following order:
- Turn off the ignition;
- The gear change lever establish in neutral position, and tighten the hand brake;
- Set the first cylinder of the engine at TDC on the compression stroke, for this, use one of the methods:
- Remove the spark plug, and then turn the crankshaft clockwise for the pulley;
- Turn 4 or 5th gear and move the car;
- Lift the front of the car in gear and turn the front wheel;
- Close the spark plug hole of the first cylinder with a finger or a wooden stopper;
- When the first cylinder approaches the top dead center at the end of the compression stroke, the pressure on the tube is increased;

Marks on the flywheel
Fig. 6.11. Marks on the flywheel 1 - mark "6 ?? before TDC (ignition timing); 2 - mark "0 ?? TDC

- Remove the plug from the ear to the top of the clutch and continue to crank the engine crankshaft to align the TDC mark on the flywheel and the index (Fig. 6.11). The marks on the flywheel to the left of TDC are designed for the ignition timing;
- Check the position of TDC marks:
- A groove on the crankshaft pulley should be aligned with the arrow in the lower cover and actuator TDC on the rear surface of the pulley of the camshaft;
- TDC is located on the back side camshaft pulley must coincide with the upper edge of the cylinder head, otherwise cranked shaft for one revolution;
- Mark the position of the body of the distributor;
- If necessary, disconnect high-voltage wires from the distributor cap;
- Remove the bracket and the distributor. If there is, lift and remove the plastic cover at the bottom of the distributor. Cover with the collapses;

The ignition distributor of TC1-H: 1 - distributor rotor; 2 - dust cap; 3 - a lock ring; 4 - pin; 5 - steel slotted screen; 6 - spring washer; 7 - washer; 8 - spring bracket; 9 - electric socket; 10 - the screw; 11 - socket electrical connector; 12 - Hall sensor; 13 - washer; 14 - base plate; 15 - the distributor case; 16 - a vacuum regulator of an advancing of ignition; 17 - a bolt; 18 - the holder; 19 - a sealing ring

- Disconnect the vacuum hose 20 (Fig. 6.12) from the vacuum regulator 16, the ignition timing;

Combination contact slider with a tag on the distributor
Fig. 6.14. Combination contact slider with a tag on the distributor

- Check whether there is a label on the top of the distributor housing (see. Fig. 6.14), which should be at the center of the distributor rotor. If there is no label, apply it with a pencil;
- Remove the bolts at the base of the distributor, then remove the valve from the engine;

The ignition distributor of Digifant
Fig. 6.13. The ignition distributor of Digifant: 1 - high-voltage wires; 2 - tips; 3 - Cover suppressor; 4 - a cover of the distributor; 5 - coal contact; 6 - distributor rotor; 7 - Dust Cap; 8 - an electric socket; 9 - the distributor case; 10 - a bolt; 11 - the holder; 12 - a sealing ring; 13 - Terminal 4; 14 - terminal 15 (); 15 - terminal 1 (-); 16 - the ignition coil; 17 - earthing; 18 - a tip; 19 - a spark plug

- Check the condition of the sealing ring 19 on the basis of the distributor (see. Fig. 6.13).

A WARNING
Do not change the position of the crankshaft when removing the ignition distributor.

Dismantling and assemblage of the distributor of ignition is performed in the following order.
Distributors and ignition system Digifant TC1-H:
- Clean the distributor;
- Remove the rotor 1 with the distributor shaft and dust cap 2 (see. Fig. 6.12);
- Mark the position of the steel screen with openings 5 relative to the drive shaft;
- Remove the retaining ring 3 and remove the steel slotted screen 5 with the alignment pin 4;
- Remove the flat and spring washers 6, with the mark of their location for reinstallation into place.
- Unscrew the screws and remove the vacuum regulator 16, the ignition timing;
- Remove the retaining ring and washer securing the support plate, remove the screws securing the electrical connector to the body of the distributor and remove Hall sensor 12 and the electrical connector 11;
- Unscrew the side screws and remove the base plate 14, thrust washer and spring clips;
- Clean all parts and check their condition;
- Inspect the inside of the distributor cap for signs of erosion;
- Check for smooth movement of the carbon brush;
- Check the condition of the rotor 1 of the distributor;

Check distributor rotor resistance
Fig. 6.15. Check distributor rotor resistance

- The tester to measure the resistance of the rotor of the distributor between the central and side contacts, which should be 600-1400 ohms (Fig. 6.15);
- Test the vacuum regulator ignition timing, which creates a vacuum in the choke knob and check the movement of the thrust of a vacuum regulator of an advancing of ignition;
- Gather distributor in reverse sequence of disassembly. Lubricate the bearing surface of the base plate.

The distributor of ignition FEI and KE-Motronic
Fig. 6.16. The distributor of ignition FEI and KE-Motronic: 1 - shaft; 2 - washer; 3 - plastic washer; 4 - the screw; 5 - Hall sensor; 6 - distributor housing; 7 - pin; 8 - a lock ring; 9 - clutch drive

The FEI distributor KE-Motronic. At the FEI distributor KE-Motronic (Fig. 6.16) can only be replacing the Hall sensor 5, which comes in a kit consisting of a clutch actuator 9, pin 7 and 8 of the locking ring;
- Glued to the distributor rotor shaft 1 and to replace it must be destroyed, and the new rotor stick adhesive;
- Mark the position of the offset drive coupling 9 relative to the rotor of the distributor;
- Secure the clutch in a vice, then beat out a cylindrical pin 7 and remove the retaining ring 8;
- Remove the clutch 9, gaskets and plastic washer 9;
- Remove the rotor shaft 1 with the distributor, a plastic dust cap, gasket and plastic washer;
- Remove the screws 4 and remove Hall sensor 5 from the body of the distributor;
- Install the new Hall sensor in the reverse order of removal.
The installation of the distributor of ignition in the following order:
- Rotate the rotor of the distributor from the starting position (TDC) clockwise and set over a hole in the distributor block or cylinder head in accordance with the previously applied markings on the housing and the block and set the valve in place;
- To set the valve SOHC engine in place and make sure that the distributor rotor moved counterclockwise to the original position. If the valve is not installed in its original position, remove the valve and turn the screwdriver to the drive shaft of the oil pump, and then reinstall the ignition distributor;
- Check the alignment of the previously applied labels and fix the distributor bolt to SOHC engine or two bolts on engines DOHC;
- Establish the distributor together with the central lid and connect wires;
- Connect the vacuum hose to the regulator ignition timing;
- Check and, if necessary, adjust the ignition timing (see. Sec. 6.10).
