Spark plug
Removing and installing spark plugs in the following order: - To remove the spark plugs, open the hood and remove high-voltage wires from spark. On engines DOHC to remove high-voltage wires has a special tool. Install the special tool on the tip of the spark plug and pull up;
A WARNING Using compressed air to remove dirt from the places of installation of spark to it after loosening the candles did not get into the cylinders. |
- Remove the spark; - Check spark plugs shows the state of the engine. If the nose of the insulator of the spark plug is clean and white, it shows that the mixture is too lean or used "hot" spark plugs; - If the tip and the nose of the insulator is covered with solid black touch, it shows that the mixture is too rich. If the black and the oil is likely that the engine is deteriorated, and oil in a large quantity falls out of the crankcase into the combustion chamber; - If the nose of the insulator is covered with a light touch of light brown, the mixture is optimal and it is likely that the engine is in good condition. Dipstick to check the inter-electrode gap of the spark plugs; - The gap between the electrodes of the spark plug is essential, since too large or too small spark gap will not be sufficient for normal operation of the engine; - To set the bend outer electrode gap until the desired gap. In no case do not bend the center electrode, as this can crack the insulator; - Carefully clean the threaded part of the spark; - Screw the spark plug by hand, eliminating its bias until it touches the cylinder head and tighten its demanded moment;

|
- High-voltage wire is not need attention, except that they must be kept clean. Remove the high-voltage wires and check their resistance (Fig. 6.28); - When removing the distributor cap, carefully clean it and check the electrode. Check coal contact in the center of the lid.
