Draining water from the fuel filter (on vehicles with diesel engines)
The fuel filter is installed in the engine compartment of the air filter. To drain the water from the filter, do the following: - Remove the bracket of the control valve at the top of the filter; - Remove the control valve with attached fuel hoses;

- Loosen the clamping screw the bracket 1 (Fig. 2.3) and gently lift the filter 3; - Install a filter the water container; - Unscrew the drain valve 2; - Drain the filter and hold valve 2 open for some time, until the merge about 100 cm3 of fuel; - Tighten the valve 2; - Wipe all remnants of spray or fuel; - Set the control valve, secure it with bracket 1; - Set the filter to its original position; - Tighten the clamping screw; - Let the engine idle, check the filter and hose connections for leaks; - Bring the engine speed up to 2,000 min-1, and then allow the engine to return to idle, repeat it a few times and look at the flow of fuel in a transparent hose going to the high pressure fuel pump (pump), - it should not be bubbles.
