Filling the air conditioner refrigerant

Location units and units of the air conditioning system in the engine compartment of the vacuum and the recirculation / inflow
Fig. 14.5. Location units and units of the air conditioning system in the engine compartment of the vacuum and the recirculation / inflow: 1 - the union of a vacuum hose (vozduhopritoka drive cover); 2 - The relay electromagnetic clutch C compressor relay Blower heat exchanger; 3 - vacuum tank; 4 - two-way valve actuator cover vozduhopritoka; 5 - Control vacuum valve; 6 - capacitor; 7 - the air conditioning compressor and the electromagnetic clutch of the compressor; 8 - expansion tank with water separator and pressure relief valve; 9 - service valve cap of high pressure, 10 - the gauge of pressure the air conditioner; 11 - air temperature sensor outboard; 12 - service valve cap of low pressure; 13 - expansion valve; 14 - drain valve of the evaporator

For the efficient operation of the air conditioning system is required, and the required amount of refrigerant corresponding to its filling. Low system pressure and an insufficient amount of refrigerant result in lowering the efficiency of the evaporator, and a very small quantity - a shut-conditioner for actuation of the pressure sensor. Even with the minor leak tucked amount of refrigerant will continuously decrease, which would require new refueling system. The air conditioning system provided with an inspection window for a rough estimate of the level of refrigerant charge. Viewing window (Fig. 14.7) is located on the right side of the engine compartment and trunk built into the high-pressure valve between the service and the high-pressure expansion tank 8 (see. Fig. 14.5) with a dehumidifier.
To check the coolant level start up the engine and turn on the air conditioner. When the compressor is running in the inspection window should not be observed bubbles. The presence of bubbles even for a short period of time indicate a lack of refrigerant charge. The appearance of signs of foaming at the inner side of the sight glass may indicate an almost complete lack of refrigerant. For a full system recovery air pipe system should be pumped out, checked for leaks and refuel trained personnel using proper equipment.
