Vacuum-pressure pump

Serviceability of the pump is checked by clamping the hose between the pump and the first tee. Move the clamp to the pump, consistently reducing the length of the line to overlap. To test the activator press a hose that is suitable to this activator.

A WARNING
When a fault is detected activator before making a decision about his replacement check operation of the mechanical part of the device (for example, a smooth movement of joints and others.).

Place mounting a vacuum-pressure pump (vehicles sedan)
Fig. 15.65. Place mounting a vacuum-pressure pump (on cars with notchback): 1 - wiring connector; 2 - drain hose hatch

Injection-vacuum pump is mounted in the cargo bay, within a two-layer squelch. On cars sedan pump is under the outer panel on the left side of the trunk (Fig. 15.65). Be sure to refit the antinoise panel. On cars touring the pump is mounted in the recess right rear of the floor pan. When removing the pump, first disconnect the negative lead from the battery terminals.
