Accumulator battery

Cars are equipped with maintenance-free battery that requires no maintenance other than to support the case and terminals clean. To clean the terminals, disconnect them from the battery and strip wire brush. Heavily corroded terminals must be treated with a solution of bicarbonate of soda applied toothbrush. This can not be allowed to enter the solution into the battery. Before connecting the terminals of the battery terminals with petroleum jelly or grease anticorrosive compound. To check the battery every 3 months Carry out the inspection density of the electrolyte. The scatter of density of about 0.04 g / cm3 or more between any banks indicates the loss of electrolyte or deterioration of the battery plates. In this case, charge the battery to align the density in all banks. Otherwise, the battery should be replaced. Periodically check that the plates of the battery in each bank were topped with an electrolyte thickness of about 6 mm.
