Removing and installing oil pan



Elements of the lubrication system of four- and five-cylinder engines, except the engine 1,6-I AHL index

1 - a sealing ring. If damaged, use a new sealing ring;
2 - a cover;
3 - dipstick engine oil;
4 - lock the probe. When pumping oil from the oil pan must be removed;
5 - a sealing ring. When installing, use a new sealing ring;
6 - the oil feed conduit 20 Nm. The oil supply to the turbocharger only engines AEB;
7 - adapter. If damaged, use a new adapter;
8 - the sealing ring. If damage is necessary to use a new sealing ring;
9 - a bolt, 25 Nm;
10 - the holder of the oil filter;
11 - oil pressure sensor, 25 Nm. When tightness setting the oil pressure sensor is necessary to use a new sealing ring;
12 - a sealing ring. If damage is necessary to use a new sealing ring;
13 - oil heat exchanger. When installing the oil heat exchanger surface mating flange must be lubricated with a thin layer of sealant, AMV-18810002;
14 - a nut, 25 Nm;
15 - the oil filter;
16 - a cover;
17 - a gear wheel drive of the oil pump;
18 - the rotors of the oil pump;
19 - a cover of the oil pump with oil pressure relief valve. Oil pressure relief valve opens at a pressure of 5,7-6,7 bar;
20 - a bolt, 10 Nm;
21 - a bolt, 25 Nm;
22 - oil deflector;
23 - a bolt. For unscrewing bolts sump must use hinge key;
24 - oil drain plug;
25 - a sealing ring;
26 - oil pan. When installing the oil pan mating surface must be cleaned from the traces of the oil pan gasket;
27 - a lining of the oil pan. When installing, use a new oil pan gasket. Before installing the gasket, apply a layer of sealant D2 in the junction of the sealing flange and the cylinder.
On engines 1,6-I AHL with the code on the five-cylinder engine oil pan gasket is absent, and instead uses liquid silicone sealant VW-D176404A2;
28 - a lining. If damaged, you must use a new gasket.
29 - the pipeline of return of oil,
Return oil from the turbocharger only engines AEB;
30 - a bolt, 10 Nm;
31 - a tube maslozabornika. Before installing the tube maslozabornika need to clean the strainer;
32 - a bolt, 10 Nm;
33 - a sealing ring;
34 - bypass valve, 27 Nm. Opening pressure 2.5-3.2 bar;
35 - nozzle for spraying oil on the bottom of the engine;
36 - shut-off valve oil return pipe, 50 Nm.

Four- and five-cylinder engine

To remove the oil pan is necessary to loosen the power unit and using a lifting device, raise the power unit.

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the bottom mudguard of the engine.
2. Drain the engine oil by loosening the oil drain plug about half a turn. Place the container for oil plum under a drain stopper and unscrew a stopper completely. If necessary, press a stopper when unscrew that oil did not proceed prematurely. When the oil is completely drained, screw the oil drain plug in place (see. Table "tightening moments oil drain plug").
3. Remove the serpentine belt.
4. On vehicles with the air conditioning system, remove the mechanism of a tension roller and remove the air conditioning compressor drive belt.
5. Drain the coolant (remove the lower radiator hose).
6. Using a steel rod (2) with a diameter of 5 mm, lock by turning the pulley of the radiator fan and the back of the bolt unscrew the radiator fan. Remove the radiator fan.
7. Remove the motor bracket. Showed bracket on the removed engine.
8. Disconnect the connection of the wires to release the lock and remove the starter.
9. If there is unscrew the screws (2 and 5) and remove the bracket located between the oil sump and intake manifold. Do not remove the bolts 1, 3 and 4, the second fastening bracket.
10. Remove the upper part of the left support of the power unit.
11. Using a marker, mark the location of the threaded connections 1, 2 locking bushings on the supports of the power unit.
12. Remove the bottom fastening of the two poles of the power unit.
13. Hook the sling lifting mechanism power unit and raise so that only the lower part of his body touches the front wall.
14. Remove the left support of the power unit.
15 jack through wooden block support bracket supporting the power unit in order to keep him in place after unscrewing bolts.
16. Unscrew the nut of 1 fastening of support of the power unit in the lower left and right sides. The first unscrew the bolts from the bracket 2 and 3 on the left and right sides, then four bolts on the left and right sides.
17. Unscrew a few turns lower bolt of the right support gearbox 2, and then remove the front bolt 1.
18. Unscrew the nut as far as to keep it at the level of an end of the bolt.
19. Carefully lower the jack bracket of the power unit. To it does not displace the axis immerse and empty the bracket from the front.
20. Remove the jack and turn the stabilizer down.
21. Unscrew bolts and remove oil pan from the engine block.

Setting

ENGINES 1,6-I AHL WITH CODE and five-cylinder engine

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Using a plastic or wooden scraper, remove the old gasket surface of the cylinder, interfaced to the oil pan.
2. Using a rotating wire brush, planted on an electric Drillers, clear sealant.
3. Apply a layer of sealant VW-D176404A2 3 mm on an interfaced surface of the oil pan.

A warning

After application of the sealant on the oil pan sump installation must be made within 5 minutes. The drying time of the sealant is 30 minutes, and only then can be poured into the engine motor oil.

The sealant layer should be only 3 mm in diameter, as in the case of a thick layer of hermetic surplus sealant and fall into the oil strainer can block.



Four-cylinder engine, except the engine 1,6-I AHL WITH CODE

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Using a wooden or plastic scraper, clean the mating surface of the oil pan and cylinder block of sealant.
2. Before installing the gasket, apply a thin layer of sealant D2 into the junction of the sealing cap and the engine block.
3. Install a new gasket without sealant.

ALL ENGINES

Location bolts of support of the power unit

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. regular intervals and gradually tighten bolts sump. Do not overtighten, as otherwise the oil pan gasket to be deformed.
2. Lower the engine and remove the sling lifting mechanism.
3. jack through wooden bar lift the engine mounting and the left and right side of the screw bolts and tighten them to torque.
A warning

For the engine mounting bracket is necessary to use new bolts.


4. Screw the mounting support, compensating torque. Tighten all bolts to 25 Nm.
5. Tighten the M10 bolts securing the support of a transmission torque of 40 Nm and transmission mount bracket (M8 bolts) to 25 Nm.
6. The bracket bolts located between the oil sump and intake manifold, tighten to 25 Nm.
7. Place the starter cord through the bracket on the oil pan, close the wire retainer and fix it with new clamps.
8. Set the drive belt and radiator fan.

CARS WITH AIR CONDITIONING

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Fix the tensioning pulley belt air conditioning compressor.
2. Install the air conditioning compressor belt.
3. Establish an arm lock.
4. Lower the vehicle.
5. Fill the engine with engine oil. Make a control trip and check for leaks oil pan. If necessary, slightly tighten the bolts sump.
