Removing and installing tandem pump



ATTENTION
Pump tandem in any case, do not disassemble, otherwise it will lead to malfunction of the vacuum. The consequence may be the output from the brake booster system.

Withdrawal
Remove the engine cover.

Remove the screw, pull the air filter upwards from the attachment (Fig. 2.253).
Remove the air filter housing with mass flow sensor and connection tube.
1 Remove the supply hose (white marking) and drain hose 2 (blue marking) from the fuel filter.

Connect the vacuum pump to drain the fuel hose

Connect the hand vacuum pump with accessories with the capacity to pump the liquid to drain the fuel hose 2 (Fig. 2.337).
Press the hand vacuum pump until the drain hose from the fuel oil will no longer go. Make sure that the hand vacuum pump has not got fuel.

Remove vakuumoprovod with brake booster and 1 tandem pump 4 (Fig. 2.338).
2 Remove the supply hose (white marking) and drain the fuel hose 3 (marked blue) with a tandem pump 4.
Remove the mounting bolts.
Remove the pump tandem with 4 cylinder head.

Setting
Installation is performed in reverse sequence, with the following.

NOTE
Watch out for the right mix of tandem pump and camshaft.
Seal tandem pump must be replaced.

Install tandem pump and tighten the upper fixing bolts to a torque of 20 Nm.
Screw the lower mounting bolts to 10 Nm.
Connect the fuel drain hose (blue mark) to the proper terminal 3 tandem pump (Fig. 2.338).
Connect the fuel hose (white marking) to the proper terminal 2 and vakuumoprovod from the brake booster 1 of tandem pump 4.
Connect the fuel hose 1 (white labeling) to the fuel filter (Fig. 2.337).
Connect the hand vacuum pump with accessories with the capacity to pump the liquid to drain the fuel hose 2.
Press the hand vacuum pump until the drain hose from the fuel oil will no longer go. Make sure that the hand vacuum pump has not got fuel.
Connect the fuel drain hose (blue mark) to the fuel filter.
