The procedure for removing the steering mechanism (Fig. 262): - Disconnect the terminals AB, and completely remove it;
| Fig. 263. After loosening the bolts 1 tilt bar (arrow) to one side to disconnect the connection to the joint steering
- From the car, disconnect the steering joint (fig. 263). To do this, loosen the screw and remove the presser rail; - Loosen the wheel bolts, place the front of the car on support and remove the front wheels; - Remove the engine protection; - Remove the exhaust pipe to the exhaust manifold; - Unscrew the bolt on the outside of the pendulum support;

- Unscrew the nuts of bolts of the ball head with a steering linkage rods and puller rods press joints of the levers (Fig. 264);

- Set the jack under the frame and remove it (Fig. 266). Lower the jack, remove the mounting clamps and remove the steering towards the rear. Remove heat protection shield; - If necessary, remove the sealing sleeve with pinion steering mechanism. Installation of the steering mechanism in reverse order on the process of withdrawal. Wherein: - If there was a shot, then re-install the sealing sleeve. When established the steering gear it should be located without deformation on the bottom side compartment; - Set the steering and mounting clamps. Bolts (use only new) wrap it in a nut welded to the collars. Tightening torque - 60 Nm; - Slowly lift the stretcher so that she again took the correct starting position. Tighten bolts (see. Fig. 266) to the specified torque; - Connect the power steering hoses. At the junction install new O-rings; - Set the connecting rods in the stabilizer bar. Use only new nuts. Tightening torque - 100 Nm; - Connected by a hinge rod steering linkage with the pitman arm and tighten the nuts (use new) torque 30 Nm, and then tighten them another 90 ?; - Set the wheels, lower the car on the ground and tighten the wheel bolts torque of 140 Nm; - Set the steering position of the car in a straight line; - From the car, connect the clamping rail steering gear with the clutch and install a new bolt. Tightening torque 25 Nm (see. Fig. 263); - Check the fluid level in the tank and if necessary add it;
| Fig. 267. Remove the power steering reservoir and dipstick check the hydraulic fluid level (the dipstick is located on the lid)
- Start the engine and observe the fluid level. The fluid level should not drop. If this happens, stop the engine, disconnect the discharge line from the steering box (the location shown in Fig. 267) and wait until the liquid starts to flow. Then attach the pipe and check the fluid level, start again; - Check the geometry of the front suspension and steering wheel position.
