Engine lubrication system is used to supply oil to all rubbing parts of the engine during its operation, thereby reducing the power loss due to friction between the parts and reduces wear of the friction surfaces. In addition, the oil passing between the rubbing parts of the engine, cools it and blows products wear.
Lubrication system combined: under pressure, due to the work of the oil pump and spray.

The oil pump gear is located at the bottom of the crankcase and is driven by the intermediate shaft via motor gear of the intermediate shaft 7 (Fig. 165)
and the driving gear 5 drive shaft 6 of the pump.
The oil cooler, which are attached to the hoses of the cooling system is located on the side of the cylinder block.
Engine oil filter VR6 dismountable and consists of a filter housing, within which is located a removable filter element. When changing oil poured into the engine only 5.5 liters of engine oil, of which 5.0 liters of oil in the engine and is about 0.5 liters - in the oil filter. When changing the oil should be aware of this, especially if the filter itself is not replaced.
The oil from the sump pump is injected into the oil filter from which it is served in the main road, located in the cylinder block, where the oil is given on the cross channels to the bearings of the crankshaft and camshaft and then to the other lubrication points.
The cylinder block is a valve to drain oil and jets for lubrication of the crank mechanism. It is the only part of the engine lubrication system, which can be replaced only by removing the engine from the car. All other parts of the lubrication system can be replaced with the engine installed.
The two-liter engine
The engine also is lubricated with oil, circulating under pressure.

And a gear oil pump located at the bottom of the crankcase and is driven by the intermediate shaft via motor gear and the intermediate shaft gear 14 (Fig. 166)
of the drive shaft of the pump.
Oil radiator liquid cooling base 10 is installed between the oil filter and the oil filter 13. When replacing the engine oil is poured 4.7 liters of engine oil, of which 4.2 liters of oil is in a 0.5 liter engine and the oil filter.
